My name is Ethan Twardosz, and the motto for my Boy Scout troop where I became an Eagle Scout in 2023 is “do stuff.” This motto has shaped every step of my journey since. Not long after high school, I launched a small business trading international currencies with friends. This venture born out of late nights on Minecraft factions that taught me about risk, resilience, and resourcefulness. When a deal gone wrong got me hacked, I went camping in the mountains near Los Angeles to clear my head, where I also met my girlfriend. Together, we’ve traveled to more than 20 countries across four continents (Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Chile, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Easter Island, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, The Vatican), embracing adventure and new perspectives.
Along the way, I leaned into my passion for storytelling and opened the door to filmmaking. That passion led me to produce international short films in China, France, and Mexico with local teams. I have had the privelege of meeting assistants, filmmakers, producers, executives, CEOs, and even financiers tied to foreign governments.
A few notable names are Steve Asbell, Ramses IsHak, Richard Arlook, Casey Bloys, Alex Brunner, Jean DeMeuron, Brian Kend, Christopher Lockhart, Nick Nesbit, Klaus Riederer, Oliver Robins, Sam Toles, Paula Wagner, and many more.
Since 2020, I’ve also served as a screener and programmer for Dances With Films, one of the most respected independent film festivals in the United States of America, where I curate the Dances With Kidz LA and Family NY categories and host Q&As with filmmakers. These experiences have given me a front-row seat to the power of independent cinema and the community it builds.
I try to bring the same approach to everything I do: go out and “do stuff.”
