Sunday’s partial eclipse had almost slipped my mind when I walked out into the garden and realized someone had turn down the sun. Looking around, I noticed the crescent shaped shadows dancing across the house. The lighting felt so surreal inside and out that it was almost difficult to process this unusual moment. I took the opportunity to snap a few of these rare shadows that I wont experience again till 2017. Enjoy! k

My little's playschool teacher told me about using the Girl Scout Trefoils (Old Fashioned Shortbreads) for S'mores, so good. Sometimes the outcome of our good intentions and great time saving ideas result in a total disaster. This was mine from last week. After soaking these two drawer pulls in hot water and baking soda, I thought I would just easily wash the paint away with boiling hot water. Turns out boiling hot water melts antique plastic...oops, who would of thought? Guess I fucked that one up! Enjoy your week! K
