One rainy afternoon, an 8 year old girl made her first picture from a homemade pinhole camera. As Kristin hovered over the developer tray in anticipation, her eyes grew with amazement and her head filled with wonder as an image of a tree began to appear. That day would leave an impression on young Kristin as she would discover that photography was more then making a lovely picture, it was telling a story, a point of view that could be real or fiction. Kristin would later pursue these wonders by exploring both analog and digital photography.

Today Kristin Chapman is a still-life editorial photographer who works part-time from her studio in downtown Livermore. When she is not looking through the viewfinder, she enjoys restoring furniture, scouring thrift stores, blogging, picture books and exploring the great outdoors with her daughter. Kristin Chapman is currently available for writing and photo assignments.
